Dog Sickness

There are many alternative medicines and procedures you can use today to treat your dog at home, but the first thing that comes to mind when faced with dog sickness is running your pet to the vet.

That's because you've been brought up to believe that having gone to school for eight years, veterinarians are the experts.  There is no way you could know enough to diagnose and treat your dog yourself.

But, that's not always true.

FACT: Most veterinarians know NOTHING about alternative home remedies.

FACT: Most veterinarians prefer to be the ones in CONTROL.

FACT: Most veterinarians hate the options clients read about on the internet.

FACT: Most veterinary schools train us to be elitist.

I can personally relate.

When I graduated from veterinary school, I thought that I knew it all.  I would quickly dismiss any alternative remedy from a client.

I recall the first one I heard about was a client who suggested that they could treat an eye infection in their pet, Mirth, with a tea bag. I responded " No Way. There is no scientific basis!"

But guess what? Mirth's eyes got better in 36 hours on cold tea bags.

Holistic pet medicine has come along way in the last few years.  With the information available today, you can usually diagnose and treat your dog at home.  With just a little help, you can easily learn how to do a basic dog health exam.

You know your dog better than anybody else, and for most cases of dog sickness, you can give your pet the best health care at home.
